About us

This is a third generation family owned hotel. The owner, Riccardo, his children Gabriele, Anna Rosa, and additional hotel family Max, Ivo and Lavinia welcomed us and made us feel like a part of their family instantly. They couldn’t do enough for us. We have traveled extensively and stayed in many 5 star hotels… but none of them were as wonderful as our stay at Hotel Elios!

The rooms are not elaborate but are very well presented and all of our needs were more than well met (even the bedding was quite comfortable)! The hotel staff that took care of our rooms were friendly and super considerate – they were quietly attentive to our schedule and knew the best time to come and clean without disturbing our stay. Everything was always spotless and perfect – daily!!

And I cannot say enough about the food….3 full meals a day, included in the cost of our room. The breakfast and appetizers are served buffet style, but you get to choose your first & second courses for lunch and dinner (and also dessert), which are served at your table. And be prepared, there is no way that you will go hungry because the portions are virtually never ending. All of the food is freshly made right there, including the pastas, breads, and pizzas. We were up one night while Riccardo himself was baking bread and pizzas! The wait staff are all over the top cheerful & attentive.

The hotel has its own private beach across the street, where we had reserved sun loungers and a table with a sun umbrella, again, all included in the cost of our stay. We got to meet and interact with many of the other hotel guests, making new friends from around the world! The beach has a very large and safe lagoon bathing area which is patrolled by lifeguards, outdoor table tennis, showers, a lovely beach bar (run by Riccardo’s son, Gabriele), bocci ball areas, and even inflatables rafts and toys for the children.

The trip was a family reunion for us, which in itself was a happy and wonderfully perfect event. Riccardo and his family and staff made it all the more perfect by creating the feeling that we really were at home.

It's the friendliness and the extra thoughtfulness that puts this hotel and its people head & shoulders above the rest!! We will be back!!

I only wish I could show you in pictures how great an experience we had. The food, location and friendly staff were fabulous. A beautiful beach with 2 bocce courts. Only allowed so many words I can use. We plan on returning to this little slice of heaven on earth. Thanks Ricardo,Lavinia Ivo, Gabriel, Max and AnnaRosa. Hard to explain wonderful time. Riccardo and his son, Gabriele, make us feel so welcome - almost like family. This is our 5th stay at this delightful hotel directly across from the beach.

Our large room has one of the 2 huge balconies on the first floor- overlooking the Adriatic.

We only take half board, as the food is so delicious, if we ate lunch here, we would get charged extra by the airplanes on our way home! :>)

The appetizers are served buffet style, but you choose your first & second courses, which are served at your table, as well as your chosen dessert. The wait staff are all exceedingly cheerful & attentive.

Across the street is the private beach with your reserved chaises & umbrella. The 2 bocce ball courts are almost always in use. Plus there is a ping pong table.

In the morning, and especially in the evening after dinner, people gather on the large covered veranda to chat and watch the people on the sidewalk below pass by.

Riccardo, Gabriele and the receptionist are always happy to help with any touristic information.

Each time, it is harder for us to say goodbye!!

Me and my wife were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Mr Rubinetti (hotel owner) greeted us at reception and promptly checked us in. Our room was well presented but basic (please don't let this put you off). It was very clean and adequately equiped. It even had air conditioning!! The maids cleaned every day and even supplied fresh towels everyday.

We were half board and found the food to be excellent. Mr Rubinetti and his staff were always attentive and nothing was too much for them! The hotel's veranda overlooks the beach and was a lovely location to have a drink and end the day.

The hotel also has it's own private beach across the road. They offer free sunbeds and towels, and even inflatables are stored in a cupboard for you to use! There is also free use of bikes and plenty of flat areas to cycle around.

I think this hotel is an absolute must for anyone who loves fine food, good company and lazing on the beach in a good Italian location.

Gabriele and Riccardo did everything possible to make sure we had the best holiday. Father and son run this family business with professionalism and care for their clients. Situated beach front with it's own private access. We travelled Italy extensively and the best food we had was certainly at Elios. Yes they do it well and we will definately be back.

I have just had the most wonderful week staying at the Hotel Elios. The hotel is run as a family affair by the charismatic Riccardo and his son Gabriele. It is an incredibly friendly place. The food is wonderful and the hotel has its own private beach. You get your own umbrella! The service was very attentive without being overbearing and the hotel is full of Italian families many of whom have been coming every year for 20, 30 even 50 years! I will definitely return. A treasure!

Not enough can be said for the quality of the food, the service, and the overall family-friendly atmosphere at Hotel Elios.

Once again Riccardo and his family and staff have enabled a fantastic family holiday for my family. I have been returning to Hotel Elios off and on for over 20 years and the quality of the food, drink and service remains very high. Much higher than what you can expect from most 3 star hotels. And the prices remain in the affordable range.

The location next to the hotel's private beach area (no daily renting of chairs and umbrellas) and simple, well-thought-out conveniences like hotel-supplied beach towels (less to pack) make this a perfect rest & relaxation spot, especially for a family with children.

The local area also has a few children's amusement parks that are perfect stops on the long evening walks after dinner.

We will continue to return to Hotel Elios, and in fact, we saw many returning adults who have visited since they were children. Return business like that says it all. You can count on a great vacation here, and this one was my personal favorite of all time.

What an amazing hotel! We were made to feel so special during our visit in September. Nothing was a problem for the staff and family who run this hotel. No surprise that it has been run by the same family for over 50 years and now entering a third generation. This hotel directly overlooks the calm and safe waters of the Adriatic and the private beach with sun loungers and parasols was an added bonus. The food was excellent - we were really impressed by the fish platter and the choice of local wines was extensive. The family and their staff looked after us so well that we were very sad to leave but will definitely be back.

We were welcomed like family the moment we arrived! This quaint hotel provides you with comfortable rooms with windows and doors that open up to the fresh sea air, along with yummy food that is too good!!! Also heated floors!!! Because it was our honeymoon they had a bottle of Champagne in our room when we arrived and also a fews days in... a dozen roses left on our bed with a card that was hand made saying congratulations in english. We were the first Americans to come to the hotel in a year and a half. They made us feel so special! Hotel Elios is a great location because they are just a walk from some great village shops, vinyards, and if you like theme parks Mirabilandia is not far away either. We took a bus ride to get there and it was like we were taking a short tour of Italy it was BEAUTIFUL just about an hour and a half!!! Riccardo and his family and staff are just fantastic! Its so clean! The beach is beautiful and they have showers and bathrooms 4 feet from where the chairs are located! And we are talking MARBLE bathrooms on the beach! Its amazing and it was certainly the best week of our lives!! We will be back again! AMAZING!!!

Ricardo (the owner) greeted us like family. We were finally having our 50th wedding anniversary trip that had been postponed from the year before.

We had our same room - one with a balcony over the terrace of the hotel. So large, our 2 beach lounges took up only a small portion of the space.

Ricardo even added a second desk to our room so we each had places for our computers!!

The food - if possible - was even better!! The wait staff are always very, very friendly. One person remembered us from 2 years ago - Svetlana from Serbia.

And of course there was Ricardo's cheerful son - Gabriele - who is following in his father's footsteps!

In the evening, after dinner, people gather on the terrace to talk, play cards,etc. This time, whenever there was a European Cup match on TV, the TV was set up on the terrace so people could watch & cheer for their teams!!

I could go on & on - suffice it to say - we love this hotel & it's people!!
