Hello to all the dear friends of Hotel Elios in Bellaria - Igea Marina!
Summer 2019 is almost upon us and we, taking advantage of the beautiful sunny and warm days, continue to explore the vast territory of Romagna.
Today, we would like to talk about a place very dear to us ... Igea Marina! It is not only one of the most important seaside resorts on the Adriatic, but also an ideal place to undertake various activities. So let's start by telling you about a typical summer day we spent right here in Igea Marina.
On a bright Summer Saturday we woke up very early and headed to the beach for a walk. We walked towards Beky Bay, near which it is possible to find yourselves in front of a wonderful cliff ... we stopped there to admire the sunrise and the first rays of sun. What better way to start the day?
After a short walk and a bit of relaxation, we returned to the Hotel for breakfast, deciding to have it on our terrace directly facing the sea ... first thing in the morning our sea has a special charm!
We decided, therefore, to go to our private beach to lounge and sunbathe a little!
For the afternoon, however, we planned a bike ride to Parco del Gelso. This park was born in the early twentieth century thanks to Vittorio Belli, who wanted to build a village in the countryside. What remains today after urbanization is a vast park with an area of 40 hectares. Here, there is also a pond with ducks and an area equipped with a prehistoric dinosaur valley.
It is a perfect place for children, but also for adults who love being outdoors to relax, do some sport or just take a walk!
From the Park we returned to the centre of Igea Marina and ate a lovely ice cream in one of the many ice cream parlours of the avenue. And it is precisely here that we decide to return after dinner, to do some shopping in the numerous small shops, to buy some typical Romagna products from the local traditional stores.
We completed this day of relaxation in the bar of the Hotel Elios with a drink (or two), always taken on our terrace to admire the sunset on the Adriatic Sea!
Look out for our next post on our day out on the discovery of Bellaria!
